The 2017 season continued Saturday night at Memorial Hall as the Kansas City Roller Warriors staged Game 2 of their incredible new season.

The first bout of the evening saw more of the same action we saw at the beginning of the month, this time with the Dreadnought Dorothys and Knockouts swapping the lead back and forth like floor traders at the stock exchange, particularly during the first half. The Glitter Mafia held a slight 94-82 lead at halftime, but by the end, it was the Ruby Reds dropping the house by a final score of 182-165.

The second game of the evening saw the Black Eye Susans jump out to a 29-0 lead over the reigning Rink of Fire champion Victory Vixens. The Black & Yellow had a 147-40 lead at halftime, and we began to wonder if maybe they weren’t going to run away with it. The Vixens made it more interesting in the second half, though, cutting the Susans’ lead to 46 at one point before eventually dropping the bout, final score 238-160.
