Derby Saturday

This Saturday night, there are two outstanding events taking place on the flat track from which to choose, and you will likely have to choose, since they’re both taking place at about the same time. But that’s the beauty of Kansas City roller derby — you can have it your way.

In this weekend’s event, the reigning coed champs, The Untouchables, face off against the formidable Public Enemies in what’s sure to be a straight-up nailbiter. Immediately following, the Black Plague and Gang Green square off, and these bouts are always different, so there’s no telling how it will turn out. We just know it’s going to be a fantastic night on the track.

Adult tickets are $12 at the door. Fountain City’s events are always kid-friendly, and kiddos ages 12 and under are admitted free. Small coolers are welcome with a $10 fee at the door (no glass allowed).

Doors open at 6 p.m. at B&D Skate Center, so get there early and get a great seat for this next-to-last Fountain City event of the season!

The Kansas City Junior Roller Warriors finish off their stellar 2017 season with Game 3 this Saturday night at Memorial Hall!

The Red and Black teams have been slugging it out all season long, and this is your last chance to see them until 2018.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the game begins at 6:00. Tickets are $5 at the door for adults, and kids 12 and under are admitted free.

We hope to see all you Kansas City roller derby fans at one of these events, and as always, we thank you for your loyal support of the incredible leagues we’ve enjoyed for so many years in this amazing town. The ladies and gents behind the various leagues put in some serious hours to make these events come off, and we at KC Derby Digest couldn’t be more grateful to everyone involved.

We will see you trackside this Saturday night! Roll on, Kansas City!
