It’s a Tim Burton-themed night of roller derby, and the various teams will be representing various Burton classics, such as Beetlejuice and Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, so feel free to join in the fun and dress up accordingly. The teams will be, and that’s guaranteed fun, right there.

The Lovely Lethals and the Royal Pains will face off in the evening’s first match-up. The Pink Ladies are looking to bounce back from their surprise defeat at the hands of the Deadly Sirens late last month, and the Pains are hoping to continue their undefeated ways after their solid win over the Sheilas that same night. From the looks of these two teams so far, this will be one you won’t want to miss.

The second bout of the night will feature the Shotgun Sheilas, who are looking for their first win of the season, taking on the Deadly Sirens, who again, shocked nearly everyone in attendance when they took down the Lethals a few weeks ago. Not only this evening, but this particular season is already shaping up to be one of the least predictable we’ve seen in a while, and because of that, if nothing else, all derby fans within the sound of my digital voice really need to catch this one.

Doors open at 6:00 Saturday night, and the action begins at 6:30. Tickets are $12 for anyone ages 13 and up; kiddos ages 12 and under are admitted free.

KC Derby Digest will be on hand for all the fun — we hope to see you there!
