This week, the league that started it all in KC, the Kansas City Roller Warriors, finally announced their spectacular 2016 schedule of bouts, and it came with the incredible news that this season’s games would be held at Memorial Hall.
According to their web site and Facebook pages, the schedule of dates for 2016 are as follows:
March 5
March 26
April 9
April 23
May 7
June 4
June 18 – Rink of Fire championship
Tickets at the door are $16 per adult and $9 for kids ages 6-12. As always, kiddos 5 and under are admitted free. Doors at Memorial Hall will open at 5:00, and the first whistle blows promptly at 6:00.
It’ll be exciting for us and the rest of the fan base to see the Roller Warriors slug it out in this historic venue. We’ve had the privilege of seeing them compete at places like Municipal and Winnwood, and before KC Derby Digest came on the scene, they also played in places like Hale Arena and Kemper Arena, so to say the least, KCRW has a pretty extensive historical footprint around Kansas City. It’s also been a very long time since KCRW had more than one game in the same month, and this year they’re doing it three times. MOAR DERBY ACTION!
Of course, we’ll remind you of all these details as the dates approach, don’t you worry about that. Mark your calendars now and don’t you miss a moment of what’s guaranteed to be an outstanding season of Kansas City Roller Warriors action!
