The Junior Roller Warriors Summer Closer

Tonight will be your last opportunity to see the Kansas City Junior Roller Warriors in action for the 2015 season.

These two amazing teams, Starry Fright and Rolling Thunder, have battled it out all summer long to the delight of derby fans of all ages. Last Monday night, they held Game 3 at Winnwood Skate Center in Kansas City, and KC Derby Digest had the only photographer in the house to bring you the action.

Tonight, the KCRW Juniors hold their fourth and final game of the season, and we’re expecting quite a finale for this outstanding young league.

Starry Fright has taken all three games so far this year by an average of 47 points per game; they will no doubt be looking to make it a perfect season after tonight’s bout. Rolling Thunder is still looking for their first win of the year and will definitely be looking to end the season on the highest of notes. Regardless of who takes Game 4 tonight, the real winners will be the fans in the stands as these dedicated young athletes battle it out and leave it all on the track one last time for 2015.

Doors open at Winnwood Skate Center at 6:30 tonight. Player intros are at 6:45, and the game begins at 7:00. Tickets are just $5 per person, and don’t forget to bring yourself a nice folding chair so you can sit up close where the action is and cheer these ladies on the right way.
